About the studio

Folio is a small design studio in Rotterdam. Four of us work on identities, books, exhibitions, apps and moving images for clients who care about the details: public services, publishers, museums, festivals and independent businesses.

How we work

Every project starts on paper and ends with something people actually use. We keep the team small on purpose, so the people you meet on the first day are the people who do the work. We do not pitch for free, and we price every project up front.

What we make

Brand identities and wayfinding. Books and editorial systems. Exhibitions. Apps and websites. Motion and film. Often, a mix of all of these.

The journal

The journal is where we write about how we work: pricing, briefs, typefaces and the habits that keep a small studio healthy. Members get the longer essays and the numbers behind the studio.

Visit

We are at the top of the stairs, at Havenstraat 12. Come for coffee. Tuesdays before two are quiet hours, so please pick another day.
